As part of a larger effort to bring new light to the work of an inspiring American poet, the family of Jane Merchant has organized and founded the Jane Merchant Project.Due to the fact that most of her work is out-of-print and inaccessible, we have launched this website with the intent of republishing and archiving many of her greatest and most memorable poems.

We have also included information about her life, as well as links where you may find additional information about her life and work.In time, we will also digitize and republish all of her books through both the Google Book Project and the Guttenberg Project.

The Jane Merchant Project will continue to publish poems on this site, building over time an archival record of her work.We thank you for taking the time to visit and hope that you will share her story and her work with others.

Finally, we encourage all readers to visit the OI Foundation and donate to an organization that provides help for those suffering from Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
